U-14 Final: Best wishes go to the St Josephs Under 14 team who play Ballymachugh in the final of the U-14 competition on this Saturday 28th May at 3.00 o’clock on the 3G Pitch in Kingspan Breffni Park.
The Arva Club are starting their own Lotto and are looking for students to sell envelopes. Anyone interested should give their names to Club Secretary Siobhán O’ Hara. The club is hoping that this fundraising will go a long way to financing the needs of the club and will cover all age groups including the Ladies club. There is great work ongoing within the club and children from U-8upwards are coached in the skills of the game. It is to be hoped that the community will support all this good work and join the GAA Lotto. The first draw will be held on Monday 6th June.

The organisers of the very successful Tea Day in aid of the Alzheimer’s Association which was held recently in Murtagh’s Old Mill Wheel Bar, Arva would like to thank sincerely everyone who supported them on the day. A total of €669 was lodged so we say well done to all concerned.
Continues every Sunday night with a great attendance in St Patrick’s Hall, Arva. There is over €3,000 in prizes on offer with two panels worth €500 each. With the prize money that is on offer it is rightly seen as one of the best sessions in the region – eyes down 9pm sharp.
As a Mark of respect to our former Taoiseach and Party Leader Dr Garret Fitzgerald the Annual Fine Gael Church Gate collection which was to have been taken up last weekend was postponed.

Sale of Work
The committee who organised the annual Sale of Work in St Patrick’s Hall, Arva on Friday and Saturday last wish to thank everyone who supported them over the two days. The proceeds are in aid of Arva Senior Citizen’s Club and the Arva Conference of St Vincent de Paul.
The Latin School Players have released another date for their widely acclaimed comedy “A Wake in the West” on this Friday May 27th @ 9pm sharp. There are still a few tickets left in local shops.
