A farm accounts and taxation course will be held in the old schoolhouse Ballymahon Road Edgeworhstown in the coming weeks. The course is aimed at helping farmers prepare computerised farm records and an understanding of basic farm taxation. The main objective of the course is to help farmers plan their business and tax more efficiently. The course will be run over 4 nights with the initial two nights in March and the remainder in November.For further details contact 087 2478835.
We offer our sympathy to Ned Duggan Knockatarry on the death of his sister Bernadette Kelly (nee Duggan) Wellington Surrey and formerly from Curry Ballymacormack. She died suddenly on February 19th at St Helens Hospital Surrey. She is very sadly missed by her husband Jimmy , daughter Trish, son Billy, daughter in law Debbie Lee, grandchildren Shane Sean and Molly, brother Ned, sisters Annie (Hornchurch) and Mary (Brighton) brothers in law sisters in law, nieces , nephews relatives and friends. Funeral Mass was on March 3rd at Saint Elpheges Church Wellington followed by cremation at Croydon. We also offer our sympathy to Dermot and Sarah Carberry Lislea Kenagh on the death of Sarahs mother Winnifred Mulvihill; (nee Kilkenny) formerly of Manchester and a native of Galway. She died at a relatively young age after a long and painful illness on Saturday March 12th at the residence of her daughter Sarah (Lislea). She was predeceased by her husband Tom who was a native of Kerry. Her removal takes place on this Monday evening to saint Dominics Church Kenagh and she will be buried in Kilcommock on Tuesday morning. Her husband Tom’s ashes will also be interred in the same grave in Kilcommock. May they all rest in peace.

Kenagh and district Development Association wish to thank all who supported their table quiz on last Friday night in the El Paso. Thanks also to all who gave spot prizes for the raffle and all the helpers who worked on the night. Thanks to Brian and Tess for the use of their premises and supplied sandwiches ,sausages and tea for the patrons. The money will be used for village improvements.
