Delays are expected on the N4 road between Longford and Edgeworthstown this evening after the route was reduced to one lane following a collision on the road earlier today.
Meanwhile Iarnród Éireann has announced that bus transfers are in place between Longford and Carrick-on-Shannon due to flooding on the railway line. The company has advised customers to expect delays of up to 40 minutes. In addition, this afternoon’s 1600 Dublin Connolly-Sligo service was cancelled, with passengers being accomodated on the 1705 service.
The flooding is also likely to impact services tomorrow, Tuesday.
