A man in his early 30s died when the car he was driving hit a bridge wall on a minor road at Esker South, near Ballinalee on Saturday morning.
The car was discovered around 6am on Saturday morning and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was a native of Dublin but had been living in North Longford for a number of years. Granard Gardai are investigating the incident and Forensic Collision Investigators attended the scene on Saturday morning.
