Local bikers brought some Easter cheer to children and families in the midlands recently as they embarked on an Easter Egg Run.
Organised by local bikers Frank Kane and Billy Beahen, the event saw bikers escort the Easter Bunny to the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar and Bethany House, Longford, where he shared some Easter treats with the children.
The inaugural Easter Egg Run was organised to help ease the pressure at Bethany House, where a shortage of staff and further funding cuts mean that employees are already working beyond the call of duty. MEP Marian Harkin visited Bethany House on the day, admiring the work carried out there.
A great day was had by all involved, and happily, the event proved to be a huge success.
