Free copies of ‘Senior Citizen: The Essential Guidebook 2014’ will be distributed in Longford Shopping Centre this Friday, March 7.

Supported by Age Action, the HSE and Nursing Homes Ireland this annual guidebook, produced by Home Instead Senior Care (HISC) is relied upon by tens of thousands of seniors and their families everyday.

Teresa O’Reilly, owner of Home Instead Senior Care Longford/Westmeath said the guidebook highlights key areas such as diet, exercise, socialisation, understanding your benefits and entitlements - your medical condition if you have one, appointing a power of attorney and considering your preferred care options for later life.

Jonathan Acton (HISC) outlined that over the next month Home Instead staff will be at locations across Longford, Westmeath and Offaly distributing the guidebook. “We welcome everyone to come along to have a chat with our friendly staff members on Friday in Longford Shopping Centre and look forward to seeing you all.”
