Fire victim’s family express gratitude

The family of Dace Zarina, the Longford student who died tragically in a fire in Leuven on January 31 have expressed their gratitude to all who send messages of sympathy, expressed their feelings online and signed the book of condolence at Camlin Filling Station in Longford where Dace’s mother works.

Dace’s family will be at home at 87 College Park, Longford town from 2pm to 6pm this Saturday, February 15, for anyone who wishes to pay their respects in person.

“We would also like to thank the staff and students of Mean Scoil Mhuire, and the priests and congregation of St. Mel’s Cathedral for their thoughts and prayers.

“And to any others who offered prayers and silences,” the family said in a statement this week.

“Our beautiful Dace was brought to her hometown of Limbazi, Latvia for a service held on Friday, February 7.”

Local people who wish to pay their respects can attend the family home this Saturday at 87 College Park from 2pm to 6pm.
