Car found in search for two missing Dublin men

The silver Ford Focus that two missing Dublin men were travelling in before going missing has been found at Lough Owel, just off the N4 near Mullingar (this morning).

The men, Eoin O’Connor (32) and Anthony Keegan (33), both from Coolock, disappeared after travelling to Cavan on Tuesday night.

Gardaí say they are seriously concerned for the men’s safety and suspect their disappearance is connected to the activities of an organised criminal gang.

Farmers in county Cavan have been asked to check their land and outhouses.

Mr O’Connor, 32, and Mr Keegan, 33, were reported missing at Mountjoy and Santry Garda Stations in Dublin by their families.

Mr O’Connor was last seen on the evening of Tuesday, April 22 at Kilbarron Avenue, Coolock. He is described as being 6’’ tall, stocky build with short brown hair and blue eyes.

When last seen he was wearing a grey track suit bottoms and a blue windbreaker type jacket with a hood.

Mr Keegan is described as being 5’ 10’’ tall, medium build with short brown hair and brown eyes.
