SENIOR CITIZENS'S PARTY: The annual senior citizen's party takes place in the Community Centre on Sunday week next, January 16th from 3 - 6:30 p.m.

SENIOR CITIZENS'S PARTY: The annual senior citizen's party takes place in the Community Centre on Sunday week next, January 16th from 3 - 6:30 p.m.

Music will be supplied by Chris Cronin. Please give your name in good time to one of the autumn club members Mary Heslin, Brigid Byrne or Margaret Reilly. It is essential that we know how many people we are catering for. This promises to be a great party so please come along at 2:30 on the day and meet all your friends and neighbours.

RECENT ENGAGEMENTS

Congratulations to two couples; Jennifer Leslie, Drumhirk and Brendan O'Reilly, Carrigallen; and Bernie Egan, Cornageeha and Seamus McCrann, Mohill, who announced their engagements over the festive season. We wish both couples much health and happiness in their future lives.

AUTUMN CLUB

There will be a meeting of the Autumn Club tonight Wednesday January 5th at 8 p.m. All members please attend.

DEATHS

The death took place at Aras Carolan Nursing Home, Mohill of Jim Dillon, Drumconney. His remains were receved at St Mary's Church, Cloone by Rev John Quinn PP, Gortletteragh and burial took place after Jim's funeral mass on Wednesday last in Cloone Old Cemetery. We offer our sympathies to his wife Mary, sisters Maura and Anna, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, relatives and friends. We also offer our condolonces to Francie O'Neill, Gortletteragh on the death of his sister Bridget Nally, Ballymulvey, Ballymahon, Co Longford. May they rest in peace.

BLUEGRASS

A night of Bluegrass music will be held in Clarke's Hotel, Mohill on this Saturday night, 8th January, 2011 at 9 pm. This concert promises to be a good night's entertainment, so you are all invited along. Music is by Moyra Frazer and 'Bending the Strings' and admission is 10 euro.
