WEDDING: Many congratulations to Sandra Eades and Niall McGurran who were married in St Mary's Church Rathowen on Friday 31st December. Celebrants for the marriage were Fr. Padraig Corcoran and Monsignor Patrick Early.

Best man was Tom Lambden and groomsmen, Darren Grimes, Christopher McCormack and Kyle McGurran.Chief bridesmaid was Susan Lambden and bridesmaids were Sara Lambden, Aimee Barrett and Gillian McGurran. Page boy was Evan McGurran and Flower girl Jenna Henry. The reception was held in the Bloomfield House Hotel.We wish the newly weds the very best for the future.

There was no winner of the 15,000 euro jackpot. The numbers drawn were 7, 18, 22 and 27. There were four 3 number winners and they were Raymond & Katie, Mary Cox, Frank Wallace and the four amigos. The numbers drawn for the second jackpot of 3300 euro were 1, 6, 26 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot. There was two 3 number winners, Martina Reid and Irene Penrose.The next draw is 10th January 2011 and this draw will have two jackpots one for 15,000 euro and the next for 3,450 euro. The results of that draw will be printed next week. The RCD have capped 15,000 euro jackpot and set up another jackpot which will increase every draw if not won. Your 2 euro ticket will be entered into both draws. Thank you to all who buy a ticket, you are helping to support local projects and the next big project is to develop the rest of the RCD field into a community park.
