Our sympathy is extended to Dan Mc Cormac, Cloonagh on the death of his brother Eamon which occurred in Montreal, Canada on Tuesday 23rd December. His passing which came suddenly and unexpectedly while enjoying himself on the golf course has caused great regret in the Mullinalaghta area . A talented gaelic footballer before emigrating Eamon was the holder of a senior championship medal which he won in 1950. Leader Cup medals plus several tournament medals also adorned his sideboard. Though away from the land of his birth for many years he always kept in the touch with the happenings in the area. A regular visitor , he followed the fortunes of the boys in Maroon and White with great interest and if involved on the field of play he was sure to attend to play them on. Eamon is also survived by his wife and family in Canada to whom we extend our condolences.
This Thursday 6th January is the Feast of the Epiphany and is Holy day of obligation. Vigil Mass will be celebrated in St. Columba's Church on this Wednesday 5th January at 7.00pm.
