WEATHER

As we mentioned in last week's notes the weather is still foremost in people's minds after one of the most severe freeze ups since records began. Even though the weather has softened considerably since Christmas day there is a serious fallout from the hard frost. Shortage of water from leakages , frozen underground pipes, damaged systems in attics and burst pipes are very much in evidence since the thaw. As we stated there is a lot to be learned for future consideration such as heated attics, burying pipes deeper and insulation of exposed pipes and fittings.
