After the inclement weather of the past few weeks, it’s time to wrap up in the winter woolies as temperatures continue to drop this week.
Today, Wednesday, will be cold and breezy with showers throughout the day. Some will be wintry, with hail or sleet, and highest temperatures will range from 3 to 6 degrees.
It is expected to remain cold until the end of the week. Frost, ice and some wintry showers have been forecast, but thankfully, this week will be much drier overall.
Friday is expected to be the coldest day as temperatures are set to plummet to as low as -5 degrees in places.
With frost and ice forecast for most of the week, drivers are being urged to take extreme care on the roads.
