A Longford teacher is seeking the public’s assistance in helping her class win the All Ireland final of the Lidl Fit Factor and with it €5,000 worth of sport’s equipment.

A Longford teacher is seeking the public’s assistance in helping her class win the All Ireland final of the Lidl Fit Factor and with it €5,000 worth of sport’s equipment.

Dromard native, teacher Martha Gray and her third and fourth class from Ballynacargy NS in Westmeath were chosen as regional winners in the Lidl Fit Factor competition, winning €500 worth of sports equipment and €500 Lidl vouchers.

Over 20,000 third and fourth class pupils took part in the competition, which was designed to help teach aspects of the SPHE (Social, Personal and Health education) curriculum in a fun and creative manner. It was held in association with Lidl and the Irish Heart Foundation.

Ballynacargy NS are now going forward to the All Ireland final on May 23rd in UCD where they face four other schools from the Republic of Ireland for the top prize of €5,000 worth of sports equipment.
