Cold snap sees three vehicle incident on N4

Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon have appealed to motorists in the area to show extreme caution on the roads during the current cold spell of weather.

Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon have appealed to motorists in the area to show extreme caution on the roads during the current cold spell of weather.

This follows a three car incident which took place on the N4 at the Drumsna turn off shortly after 7.20am yesterday (Tuesday) morning. Although all three vehicles sustained damage, nobody was injured in the accident.

The road was closed for a short time and traffic was diverted from the area until gardai were able to remove the damaged vehicles.
