The 58th annual Longford Association in London Dinner Dance takes place next month in the Crown Moran Hotel, London. The association was set up to provide an outlet for Longford people based in the English capital and promotes social, cultural and welfare activities amongst its members across the city.

The dinner dance takes place on the evening of Saturday, February 16th and will feature a host of well known Longford faces including local representatives and sports stars.

The Longford Leader will also be represented on the night by Editor Sheila Reilly.

Both Longford town and county chairs Peggy Nolan and Sean Farrell are both expected to be in attendance along with Longford GAA Chairperson Brendan Gilmore. Longford’s own Mick Flavin will provide music on what promises to be a memorable night.

Looking forward to the event, Longford Association in London Chairperson Dan Keogh said: “We have quite a few Longford people not just in the centre of the city but scattered all around London.

“It promises to be a great night of entertainment and we have invited both Brendan (Gilmore) and Leinster GAA PRO Martin Skelly, who is originally from Newtowncashel.

“Of course we also have Mick (Flavin) who will add to what will be an evening of great company, good food and a warm Irish welcome.”
