Thefts in County Longford

A site at Forgney, Ballymahon, was broken into and a black petrol generator and electrofusion box taken. The items were said to be worth in excess of €4,500. The theft took place at 2pm on Thursday September 8 last. Gardai are looking for any witnesses in relation to this incident.

Meanwhile in Drynan, Ballymahon a quantity of heating oil was taken from a private residence between 11.30pm and 8am on the night of September 6 / morning of September 7. The culprit is believed to have bored a hole into the tank and removed the oil. Gardai are asking people to be vigilant with regard to their oil tanks, to ensure that they are securely locked and to check all tanks regularly.

Finally, a baby buggy was illegally taken from a business premises in Longford town. Two females entered the store and were seen leaving with a red and black coloured buggy at 4.05pm on Monday September 5. The four wheeler buggy was not paid for. Gardai are looking for any information in relation to this incident.
