GAA: St Patrick's Arva Football Club: Horse Racing: On this Saturday night 11th December the Football Club are holding a Race Nite in the Goalpost Bar for their Players Injury Fund.

The Club is expecting all players and members to attend and join in by racing the Wooden Horses. This is sure to be a good night's craic and the club look forward to a big turnout.

2011 Membership Forms are available and all players must apply for Membership otherwise they are not insured and will not be allowed to play. Ordinary members should also fill out the form as they will then be kept up to date with regular Text messages and / or Email regarding what's happening in the club

As a result of re-sodding the goalmouths and another couple of spot's in Michael Cully Park - the pitch is now closed – the usual Charity Match will not take place on St Stephen's Day. Instead it was agreed to hold a swim in Gartylough and a number of brave souls have already agreed to take part. Sponsorship Cards are available and the club are asking for generous support. There will also be a Bong Ball Competition and – weather permitting – Duck Racing. The Bong Ball should prove to be good craic and keep people entertained for some time. Proceedings will get underway at 1.30 pm and Irish Music will be provided in the Breffni Arms Hotel & Leisure Complex with a Raffle for numerous prizes. The club would like to see as many as possible from the general area attending and making it a community event.
