1st Joe McDermott Longford 9 lbs; 2nd Marty Cosworth, Dring 4 lb 9 oz;3rd Mickey Whitney Aughnacliffe 4 lbs 1 oz; 4th Mark Kiernan Whitewood 3 lbs 13 oz. 11 boats took part with 7 pike caught and released. Next competition on Sunday 27th December , members only.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to Michael Keenan and family Edgeworthstown and former proprietor of the Glenview pub Aughnacliffe on the death of his wife Mary. May she rest in peace.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Congratulations to Dermot Sheridan Loughdavin Loughduff on being selected by the Cavan Supporters Club in Dublin as player of the year. Dermot received his award on Friday night last at a function in the Wellington Inn Baggot St Dublin.

ACTIVE AGE

Loch Gowna Active Age Annual Christmas party will take place on Sunday 12 December at 6.30pm in the Pikers Lodge Hotel. If anyone did not receive their invitation please come along on the night and you will be very welcome.
