Closure notice on bakery
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) have served a closure order to a Ballymahon based bakery/confectionery premises. The order was served last week under the Control of Foodstuffs Act to a premises occupied by Mazanek Stanislaw at Unit 5, Antley Business Park, Ballymahon.
Under the FSAI Act, 1998, a Closure Order is served where it is deemed that there is or there is likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health at, or in the premises, or where an Improvement Order is not complied with.
Speaking to the Leader, a FSAI spokesperson said: “The premises will remain closed until an Environmental Health Officer visits Mr Stanislaw’s premises and is satisfied all issues have been resolved.”
Meanwhile, the FSAI have lifted a similar notice which was issued to a businesses in County Roscommon. The notice at the Mining Museum at The Mine Arigna was issued on Tuesday, November 6th but was withdrawn three days later.
