Though they only moved next door to number 2 Market Square, the Longford SPCA have noticed major improvements in their new surroundings.
The extra space in the new premises makes for a more leisurely shopping experience for customers, while the extra space for an office and information centre means they no longer have to spend money on rooms for meetings.
The savings made on their meetings stays with the LSPCA, helping to provide crucial services such as RTA response, response to confidential cruelty reports, re-homing and many more.
Though they provide many services, the LSPCA do need help re-homing animals, and they also welcome offers of grazing land, pet food or donations of any kind. They are hugely grateful for all the help, support and donations that have been received.
To raise further funds for their services, the LSPCA are holding a Christmas raffle in John Brown’s on December 20. Tickets are available at the shop or through members, and prizes include cash, vouchers and a Christmas hamper.
The LSPCA would “like to wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year and [we] look forward to your continued support in 2014.”
The LSPCA will continue to hold meetings on the third Friday of every month at the shop and new members are always welcome. For more information, visit the shop or call 043 33 47417.
