They may do so by using the nomination slips on the opposite page. Each adult member of the household may vote.

Each slip must be signed and dropped into the boxes marked Pastoral Council Nominations that will be in Saint James and Holy Trinity Churches up to and including January 31 next.

Criteria for membership taken from the Diocesan guidelines for Pastoral Councils. Members shall be baptised Catholics who participate in the life and the worship of the parish who have a loving concern for the parish and are willing to be part of a parish leadership group.

See last week's parish newsletter (page 11) for the same guidelines definition of a parish, the tasks of the parish pastoral council and the role of the parish priest on the parish pastoral council.

He went on to thank the sponsors of prizes all who bought 2 euro lines, Paul Connell for his donation to the Hillside Club, Kevin Gilna, Jerome and Carmel Reynolds for the venue and all their work in getting it ready and Catriona Carrigy Mary Farrell and Carmel Gilliard who sold tickets. All this generosity is very much appreciated Jimmy added.
