Community Games: Legan/ Ballycloghan recently held their AGM and a new committee was elected as follows: chairperson Brendan Doherty; secretary Carmel Nulty;treasurer Billy Kenny; PRO Louise Kelly; youth officer Colm Matthews; children's officer Geraldine Grzywacz. Events for year ahead has already commenced and we would urge parents and children to get involved.

There is something for all ages from 6 years to 16 years and whether its draughts, chess , swimming art or athletics you can complete as individuals or as a team.

LOTTO

Results of GAA Lotto draw held in Connaughtons Rathowen on Monday January 17th for a jackpot of 8450 euro. Numbers drawn were 2, 3, 11, 23. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winners of 50 euro each were Mary Kelly and Davy Cranston. This week's draw was in Sloweys.

BABY GIRL

Congratulations to Tanya Nulty and her husband Brendan Leavey who celebrated the birth of their first baby girl last week. Ellen a beautiful baby girl we hope mother and baby are doing well.

SYMPATHY

We extend our sincere sympathy to Veronica Donohoe Foxhall on the sudden death of her niece Mary Gallagher Abbeylara last week. May she rest in peace.
