Independent Cllr Gerry Warnock told last week’s Town Council meeting supplementary tax concessions should be provided to working parents where at least one child is in full time childcare. “These people are the new poor,” he said. “I just feel it is vitally important for the local economy that more disposable income be made available for these people.”
