The Longford area is set to experience freezing conditions over the coming days, with highest temperatures expected to be no more than two degrees Celsius.

Sharp ground frost is predicted for tonight, with a risk of freezing fog developing, while snow and icy conditions have been forecasted for the Midlands region tomorrow.

Freshening southerly breezes should lead to milder conditions on Thursday, although frost could still develop in sheltered areas, while the weekend is expected to be windy with heavy downpours of rain.
