The gloves are off and the opening bell is about to sound as Carrick-on-Shannon’s newly re-opened KISS nightclub gets set to stage a white collar boxing tournament later this month.

Scheduled for April 27, the event which is in association with TITAN Promotions and the Irish Cancer Society, comes on foot of a similarly held event last year spearheaded by the St Mary’s GAA Club.

Allowing participants with little or no boxing experience to train like a professional boxer over 8 weeks under the guidance of highly skilled and qualified coaches, the build up has already generated much interest locally.

As many as ten novice contests have been lined up alongside a series of top exhibition bouts showcasing local talent on the night.

Organisers have also revealed they are still looking for would be boxers (males aged 17-34 years) and (females aged 17-34 years) to participate in the training.

The event is all ticket, some of which went on sale last week and will continue to be available from event organisers, KISS nightclub and participants. For more information or to register for the event contact Stephen on 0872763837 or Simon on 0871442660.
