Tractor stolen
in Killashee

Last Thursday morning Killashee farmer Joe Tyrell woke up to find that his tractor has been stolen duringthe middle of the night. The local suckler farmer said that farm related crime was on the increase in the area and that the theft of sheep in the Moydow/Kenagh areas of south Longford had also increased in recent weeks. “At around 1am, the tractor was driven out of my yard,” Mr Tyrell explained. “I know it was around this time because a neighbour of mine said that he heard it being driven up the road. It was driven up towards Moydow and we were able to track it for a couple miles in that direction.”
