The crash happened at around 6pm on the N4 by-pass and just yards from the Ballinalee roundabout. The driver, a native of Strokestown, was travelling in the direction of Sligo when the crash occurred. Initial indications are that the car, a blue Suzuki Ignis veered across the road and hit a road sign.
