LOTTO: No winner of the lotto for 15,000 euro. The numbers drawn were 18, 20, 24, and 25. There was only one 3 number winner and that was Mary Murphy.

LOTTO: No winner of the lotto for 15,000 euro. The numbers drawn were 18, 20, 24, and 25. There was only one 3 number winner and that was Mary Murphy.

The numbers drawn for the second jackpot of 3150 euro were 2, 8, 23 and 27. There was no winner of the jackpot. There was nine 3 number winners, Mary Rooney, Tony Kilbane, Anthony Maguire, Kay Lynch, Margaret Lambden, Ryan O'Connor, David Doran, Irene Penrose and Marty & Joan.

Tickets can be brought in Sexton's Shop, Rathowen Post Office, Connaughtons Pub and Feericks Hotel, along with several people selling. If you would like to sell a book please contact Peter or Liz on 6676189. It's worth buying a ticket and remember if you're not in you can't win!!!!!

CAROL SERVICE

Carol Service in Streete Church on Sunday 19th at 4pm. All welcome to attend.

SANTA

This Sunday 19th Santa is coming to Rathowen Community Centre to see all the good children and his sack is full of goodies!! The party with Santa starts at 5pm and it's followed by a disco from 6pm to 8pm. There is a fee of 3 euro per child and there will be refreshments.

ROBBERIES

Sorry to report that there has been a robbery in the area and a local house had its two dogs stolen and jeep broken into. We are asking everyone to be aware of strange cars and vans and take down number plates if you are suspicious. Garda Martin Fox from Multyfarnham is over Rathowen at present and his number is 044-9371112 and then there is Delvin Garda Station 044 9664193. Be aware and be safe this Christmas.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

To book the community centre you can contact Peter or Liz on 043-6676189. To book the Community Centre for an event you are asked to give at least 4 weeks notice, and don't plan your event ahead before the community centre is booked as the centre is used all the time and please don't presume the date is free!!!! The C.E. office in St Thomas Hall is closed, anyone with notes for the paper can leave all with Lorraine in the Post office. Faxing and photocopying also available in the Post Office.
