Following weeks of dismal predictions the far-reaching consequences of the cuts and raised taxes will hit hard at families and those in lower/middle incomes. While the old age pension has not been cut the increase in petrol and diesel prices will effect all groups young and old.

SHOOTING CLUB

There was much regret locally on the occasion of the death of Richard J. Beatty, Lisnadaragh, Finea. Deceased who was known locally as Jodie was predeceased by his wife Rose a few years ago and a highly respected member of the local community. We extend our sincere sympathy to his son Seamus and daughters Marguerite and Philomena and members of his extended family circle.

ROUNDERS ALL STARS

At a recent ceremony in Croke Park 3 members of the local Erne Eagels Rounders Club were presented with All Star awards. Well done to the Club and congratulations to the receipients – James Anderson, Damien McArdle and Darly Dolan on these awards.

APOSTOLIC SOCIETY

The Society held its post-Sale of Work meeting in the Parochial hall last week. Once again the annual fundraiser in aid of the foreign missions event was a great success and the members wish to extend their sincere thanks to all who supported it in any way.
