Longford Gardaí investigating discovery of woman’s body in Clondra
Gardaí in Longford are currently trying to establish the identity of a woman whose body was recovered from the River Shannon at Clondra last night (Thursday, July 17).

Gardaí in Longford are currently trying to establish the identity of a woman whose body was recovered from the River Shannon at Clondra last night (Thursday, July 17).

The discovery of the middle aged woman was made at 9.45pm and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was removed to the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar at 11.45pm.

Gardaí are making enquiries in the village of Clondra in an effort to formally identify the woman.
