One of Granard’s best-known buildings, Houricans Hotel, failed to sell at auction earlier today.

The property was offered for sale in the Allsop Space Property Auction at the RDS in Dublin this morning, with a reserve price of €90,000. However, no bids were received.

The hotel, which is located on Main Street in Granard, has been closed for some time. It comprises a basement and three upper floors and contains a reception area, bar, kitchens, 18 bedrooms, and a two-bedroom mews cottage at the rear.
