Down Defeat Longford Ladies: Hard luck to the Longford Ladies who were defeated by Down in the Saval GAC grounds near Newry on Sunday 3rd. The team included 6th year student Keri Harmon and 5th year student Leanne Keegan. The players fought hard against the Down team, who remain unbeaten this season, but were unlucky on the day.

Playboy of the Western World: Best of luck to Ms. O’Brien and students Clare Farrell and Rebecca McVeigh as they perform in ‘Playboy of the Western World’ in the Backstage this week. Students from the school have the opportunity to view the play next Tuesday evening at a deducted rate. We would like to thank Ms. O’Brien and our English teachers for organising this for us.

All-Ireland Finalists Honoured: The All-Ireland Roscommon Minor Ladies were honoured at the Roscommon Ladies Board presentation evening in the Abbey Hotel, on Friday the 1st March. This team included 6th year student, Oonagh Farrell. Congratulations to all involved!

iPad up for Grabs: There is an iPad for raffle in the school this week. Tickets for the raffle are now on sale and cost €1 per line. The raffle will take place Friday 15th March.

Seachtain na Gaeilge: Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl an tseachtain seo. Beidh go leor imeachtaí ar siúl sa scoil ar feadh an seachtaine ina measc ‘Banríon na Seachtaine’, céilí, comórtas amhránaíochta, tráth na gcéist agus toraíocht taisce.

Health and Safety and Photography: On Monday, TY1 had a double health and safety class. In this class, they learned about the faults of construction sites and injuries associated with them. TY2 continued with their photography course.

Home EC: TY1 and TY2 cooked Italian food such as pasta carbonara and spaghetti Bolognese. It was very tasty.

Zumba: Ty1 and TY2 finished our Zumba dance classes. Thanks very much to our fitness instructor for these very enjoyable and energizing classes.

Enterprise: The mini company county final was held in Tesco on Wednesday. Cup O’Cream, Button Up and South Paw Strap all took part in this. Cup O’Creams won an award for the best display and received a trophy and prize of €100. Congratulations!
