Last Tuesday night Legan ICA hosted their annual Christmas Flower Arranging Demonstration in the GAA Clubhouse. Once again this was a very enjoyable night for the loyal supporters from the area and beyond who gave so generously. All the proceeds this year are going to the local Society of St Vincent de Paul. Over twenty home-made and iced Christmas cakes were sold together with puddings and other festive delicacies. We would like to thank Margaret Dowler from Blooms Flowers, Longford who so generously conducted the demonstration for free, and also assisted anyone in attendance who wished to make their own Holly Wreath. All the beautiful arrangements were raffled and congratulations to the winners. A delicious festive supper was served and we hope everybody who braved the elements enjoyed the night. To date 650 euro has been raised from this night.
ICA would like to thank the GAA for the use of their premises throughout the year.

Longford Harriers Annual Carrickboy Hunt will hopefully take place this year but all depends on weather conditions. This event always proves to be a huge social outing for those of the locality and beyond and we really keep our fingers tightly crossed that the weather will allow it to go ahead this year. All those taking part and their followers are asked to meet in Carrickboy at 12.00pm and as is usual every year so far, there is a retreat to Casey's Pub for a catch up and chat with friends from far and wide afterwards.
