Longford Communnity Resources Ltd. are delighted with the announcement in the recent budget that the Rural Transport Programme will be continued in 2011, although with a slightly reduced budget. All Routes for 2010 will be completed on Thursday 23rd December. Services for 2011 will resume on Tuesday 4th January. LCR wishes all passengers and all who supports the Rural Transport Programme a very happy Christmas and New year.

AGNES BRENNAN RIP
The recent death of Agnes Brennan, Drumbrucklis, Carrigan is regretted locally. Deceased was of a quiet disposition and was a native of Sligo. Funeral took place from St. Mary's Church, Bruskey to Mullaghaboy cemetery. We extend our sincere sympathy to her daughter Olive and husband Seamus Sheridan. May she rest in peace.
