Take-away robbed in Ballymahon

A theft took place at a take-away on Main Street, Ballymahon at 11.45pm on Tuesday April 24 last. Two males, both dressed in dark clothing and hooded tops and wearing gloves, entered the take-away and jumped the counter. One is believed to have been wearing a balaclava.

A theft took place at a take-away on Main Street, Ballymahon at 11.45pm on Tuesday April 24 last. Two males, both dressed in dark clothing and hooded tops and wearing gloves, entered the take-away and jumped the counter. One is believed to have been wearing a balaclava.

They removed the till from behind the counter and left the scene with the till drawer and its undisclosed contents. The injured party was in the rear kitchen of the take-away at the time of the theft and disturbed the two males in the act. Both males left the scene on foot. Gardaí are looking for witnesses to the incident.
