A vote of sympathy was passed at last week’s Dublin/Mid-Leinster Health Forum meeting following the recent death of Cllr Paddy Belton (FG), who was a member of the Longford executive on the forum.

A vote of sympathy was passed at last week’s Dublin/Mid-Leinster Health Forum meeting following the recent death of Cllr Paddy Belton (FG), who was a member of the Longford executive on the forum.

During the meeting the vote of sympathy was proposed by Cllr Gerry Brady and subsequently seconded by Cllr PJ Reilly. The meeting was adjourned for ten minutes as a mark of respect to the late local area representative.

Cllr Belton died suddenly last month at the age of 68 after holding a seat on Longford Co Council for over 14 years. He is survived by his family, relatives and many friends.
