INVITATION

You are cordially invited to meet the people who deliver your local community health services in Ballinamore, Mohill and Carrigallen at a Community Information Evening to be held tomorrow (Thursday 10th February 2011) in Canon Donohue Hall, Mohill at 8pm. In attendance will be your local GPs and their practice staff, Public Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Community Mental Health Nurse, Home support services, Psychology service and other health professionals as well as members of the South Leitrim Community Health Forum There will be short talks on staying safe at home and looking after your physical and mental health. There will also be a wide range of information stands relating to services available in the community to help you. The event is open to all ages, so please come along. Everyone is welcome.

SYMPATHY

We would like to offer our condolences to the family and friends of Bernard Dennigan, Tomiskey who died on Wednesday last at the Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey. Bernard was laid to rest in Cloonmorris cemetery on Friday last. May he Rest in Peace.

PARTY

The McGuinness Family would like to invite all friends, neighbours & patrons to the Longford Rugby Club to celebrate with them on the occasion of the engagement of their daughter Sarah to Kieran Bohan on Friday 11th February at 8pm. Music will be by Gobsmacked.

THANKS

A note to hand from Noel Mahon to say a very sincere thank you to all who made this New Years Day Goal Mile such a success. Thanks to all who came along on the day and walked, purchased items at the auction, sponsored items, and all who handed in sponsorship cards. A special word of thanks to Charlie McGettigan, Mick Flavin, Declan Nerney, members of the Longford Pipe band and O' Neill School of dancing also to Sean The Rodeo Man for the entertainment, to Tommy as always the wonderful auctioneer and to Derrick and the staff of the Copper Still for their hospitality. To Bornacoola gaa club for their help and also to all others who helped out in preparation on the day thank you. With the weather being so cold and our present economic circumstances it was great that so many saw it in their heart to support Goal again this year. The final figure collected was €8933 once again thanks to one and all.

PILGRIMAGE

It's that time of year again when gaa clubs gear up for Scor. A note in from Martina to ask any one interested in taking part or helping out in Scor this year to give her a call 087 7963512. A new category in this years scor is Sean nos Dancing.
