LADYBIRDS: Girls age 5-7 years Registration Evening is, tonight, Wednesday 9th February, 6:30pm in Ardagh Community Centre.

All are welcome along to find out about Ladybirds, how it leads into Brownies and the Irish Girl Guides. If it looks fun then register! The first meeting will be on Thursday March 3in the Community Centre and from then on every Thursday from 6-7pm. Any queries, please contact Joanna on 086 237 2616.


As part of the IGG Centenary Year fun events Thinking Day in Athlone IT on 27th February, confirmation of attendance is required. Confirmation and deposit is also required for The BIG DAY OUT! in Semple Stadium on 7th May, please bring signed note to Thursday's meeting.


Toddler Group continues every Tuesday, 10-12 in Ardagh Community Centre. All are welcome along.


Club Ardagh will have its facility open during midterm break to facilitate any parents who wish to use our service. Wednesday 23rd

February the centre will be open for children from the national school from 12pm to 6pm. Thursday 24th and Friday 25th the centre will run Arts/Crafts and Cookery camp for both these days. Camps are suitable for all children from pre-school age upwards. Camp times and costs are as follows: Half Day session 9.30 to 1.30 or 2pm to 6pm cost 13 euro per child. Full day session 9.30 to 6pm cost 20 euro per child. 10% discount for second child and subsequent children. Dinner provided for Full Daycare Camps. All children attending must bring a snack for the morning or afternoon. Camps available to preschool children for half day mornings only. Places are limited. All children invited to attend. Ballycloughan School

An enrolment fun day will take place at Ballycloughan nattional school Carrickboy on Saturday 19th February. There will be games, refeshments and chance to meet the teachers and view the school facilities on this day from 2pm to 4pm. The annual GAA presentatin night takes place in the rugby club on Saturday night 12th February. Buffet will be sevred at 9pm. Music by her brothers. Tickets 15 euro each. There will be a bus service from the village to the rugby club and you will be dropped home at the end of the night.

Community Alert

A meeting of the Community Alert will take place in Ardagh Community Centre on Wednesday 16th February 2011 at 9pm. As the group has been successful in their application for a grant for alarms etc we have arranged for Help Link South who provides the socially monitored alarm pendant and other aids to be present on the night. They will be able to answer any queries and demonstrate their aids. All interested please attend.
