Thieves strike hours before couple jet off for honeymoon

The car thieves stole from outside Dympna's home in Longford over the weekend.
A distraught Longford woman has spoken of her devastation after thieves stole a car she relies on to care for her father and just hours before her honeymoon was due to begin.

A distraught Longford woman has spoken of her devastation after thieves stole a car she relies on to care for her father and just hours before her honeymoon was due to begin.

Dympna Tully said heartless thieves stole cash, an iPad and her prized Silver coloured VW Passat.

The incident which occurred over the course of last Friday night/Saturday morning at Camlin Meadows, Longford, took place while Dympna, her husband and her two children were asleep upstairs.

It was also the weekend she had been due to jet off for her honeymoon to Spain.
