The people of Ballinamuck have been working hard to raise funds for a proposed, and much-needed
playground in the area.
Ballinamuck Enhancement and Ballinamuck community have pulled together over the last number of weeks, working hard to ensure that their plan comes to fruition.
As of May of this year, considerable progress in relation to the playground had already been made. Land behind the hall in Ballinamuck was procured for the project, and the layout of the proposed playground was being decided on.
A number of fundraisers have taken place to date, including a Croagh Patrick climb, which took place on Sunday, July 7. A large group of volunteers, including four children, took part in the challenge to raise funds for the project.
Thanks were expressed to everyone who made the day a great success; all Ballinamuck Enhancement Committee Members (many of whom took part in the climb), Enda Mc Kenna for kindly lending his Mini Bus, Patsy Brady for driving, and the people who made the trip to give the volunteers some moral support. A great day was had by all, and congratulations were extended to everyone who took part.
