The results of the Primary School Patronage Survey carried out earlier this year have indicated that Longford parents in favour of a change in patronage have shown a preference for Educate Together.

However, overall, the results show that Co Longford is one of 15 areas that displayed an overall preference for no change.

Educate Together’s Regional Development Officer for Ireland West, Jarlath Munnelly said, “We are disappointed that parents in Longford will not, at this time, be able to access their preference of an Educate Together school. The report does state that this situation may well be revisited in the future”.
