PETER AND MAURA WED: Our warmest congratulations to Peter Gaffey Mohill and Maura Ward Corduff who were united in matrimony in St Mary's Church Annaduff on the 29th December 2010.

The celebrant was Fr John Wall PP and the lovely bride had as her bridesmaids her sister Sinead and Laura Diffley. The grooms brother James was best man while the groomsman was Philip Casserly. The beautiful music which added to the joy of this special occasion was supplied by Miss Stella Bass together with brothers Cian and Cenor Ward. Following the ceremony a reception for family and friends was held in the Lough Rynn Castle Hotel Mohill where all who attended enjoyed a delicious meal.

BRIDGE

We welcome back all our players last Wednesday 12th January at 7.45pm to Clarkes Hotel for our first game of 2011.Looking forward to meeting all our players and wishing you good luck in the competitions.

ADULT EDUCATION

On Thursday 20th January next Irish classes will commence in Aughavas community centre from 8 to 9pm and from 9 to 10pm. Music classes are free. Beginnners and improvers welcome. CONGRATULATIONS

We wish to add our congratulations to the many received by the Fenagh set dancers who have won the Leitrim title in the recent Scor finals and will now go to represent Leitrim in the Connacht finals. The dancers are Amy McLoughlin Shona Mchugh, Shauna McLoughlin, Michael Doonan, Shane Doonan, Aisling O'Rourke, Ronan Ellis and Sean Leydon. Great credit is due to their mentors Teresa Ellis and Eileen Doonan, not forgetting their parents who had those talented set dancers bring the honours back to Fenagh and to Leitrim.

SYMPATHY

Prayers were offered at all Masses for the repose of the souls of Vincent McNabola Corlea; FrJames Masterson former CC Streete, Carrie McHale nee McGarry Mayo, Mohill, Cissie McDonald nee Coleman Dublin and formerly from Mohill, Tony McLoughlin late of Roshharry who died in Burnley and Josephine O'Leary nee Turbett formerly from Corlasko Eslin who died in Boson. Our sympathies are with their families and friends at this sad time.

EMILY FAUGHNAN

It was with sadness I learned of the death of my beloved sisters in law Emily Faughnan London and formerly from Dromod who died surrounded by her loving family on the 5th January 2011. A native of county Cork she was predeceased by her loving husband Harry in 1999 and she is survived by daughter Mary Emily Teresa and Ann, sons in law grandchildren, great grand children great great grand child, sister, sister in law nephews nieces and their extended families. Her removal takes place on 27th January to dock head church at 4.30pm. Funeral mass Fri 28th at 10am.

We wish to add our congratulations to the many received by Seamus McCrann Mohill and Bernie Egan Cornageeha whose engagement was announced over the festive season. Our congrats also to Jennifer Leslie Gortleteragh and Brendan O'Reilly Carrigallen who also celebrated their engagement recently.

County Leitrim job club will be running a job seeking skills course in Mohill Enterprise Centre commencing on Monday 17th January 2011 running for four weeks.
