ST BARRY'S AGM

The Annual General Meeting of St. Barry's GAA took place before a decent size attendance at St.Barry's Centre on Sunday evening last. The following officers were elected for the coming year; Joint Presidents Paddy Mitchell/Noel Mitchell,Chair Gerry Farrell,Vice Chair Tommy Hoare,Secretary Declan Deehan, Asst Secretary Noel Rogers,Treasurer Paddy Wallace, Finance Treasurer Eoin O Boyle, PRO to be decided at a later date, Asst PRO's Beatrice Gaynor/Lorraine

o Connor,Insurance Officer Michael Burke, Membership Officers Eamon Bennett/Seamus Bennett. County Board Delegates Declan Deehan, Tommy Hoare, Noel Mitchell North Board Tony Hanly and Seamus Bennett.

RECENT WEDDING

We send congratulations to Enda Leavy, Northyard, Scramogue and Colette Murphy,Kilmurry, Macroom, Co.Cork who were married in Honan Church,University College Church, Cork over the Christmas period. The reception was held in the Imperial Hotel, Cork. Enda is son of Eddie and Bridie Leavy, Northyard, Scramogue.We wish the couple the very best of luck for the future.

SCRAMOGUE PARISH SOCIAL

Our Annual Parish Social for Scramogue was canceled recently due to the very difficult weather conditions. The function will take place in Leavy's Lounge at a later date.

PJ O GARA RIP.

There is great sadness in the area at the news of the passing of P.J O Gara, formerlyof Gorthoose, Culliagh, Scramogue which took place very recently in America. PJ is son of Farrell O Gara (Snr) and the late Maggie Ann O Gara. We extend sympathy to Farrell (Snr), Pearse and family Ballytouhy, Farrell (junior) and family,Marie and family and all his other brothers and sisters,relatives and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
