This year’s “Joints in Motion” walk, will be all the more memorable, as it is the year of the Gathering, Each and every county in Ireland is represented at this event which is held in the Phoenix Park mid to late May.

Over 20 members of Arthritis Ireland, Longford, Roscommon, Westmeath, branches, took part in this fun walk, in 2012, which was grand marshalled by John Murray, from R.T.E. Radio 1.

This is a day which is filled with fun, meeting new people, being given loads of encouragement along the route by volunteers who give of their time freely.

It’s about setting yourself a goal, whether it’s 1km, 2.5 km or the whole 5km, it doesn’t matter whether you walk, run, or go as slow as a snail, it’s about taking part.
