Jimmy Brady, No.111 Teffia Park, Longford Town, Longford

The recent death has occurred on Monday, November 21, of Jimmy Brady, No.111 Teffia Park, Longford, in the wonderful care of the staff of Padre Pio Ward, Saint Joseph's Hospital, Dublin Road, Longford in his 98th year.

Husband of the late Monica and father of the late Tom. Deeply regretted by his loving sons Jimmy, Raymond and Anthony, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, nephew, cousins, relatives, good neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his home at Teffia Park on Wednesday, November 23 from 4pm until 10pm. Removal on Thursday morning November 24 to Saint Mel's Cathedral, Longford for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

 

Rita Brady (née Teyhan), Reading, England and late of, Cliffoney, Sligo / Edgeworthstown, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred on Sunday, November 13 of Rita Brady (nee Teyhan), Reading, England and late of Cliffoney, Sligo/ Edgeworthstown, Co Longford, peacefully at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.

Predeceased by her husband Frank, late of Carnan, Edgeworthstown.

Sadly missed by her loving sister Babbie, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing in St Joseph's Hospital Chapel, Dublin Road, Longford on Saturday morning November 26 from 10am with Prayers at 10.30am followed by removal to St. Brigid's Church, Ardagh, Co Longford arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Directions Sligo/Ardagh: Follow signs for Ardagh at 3rd roundabout on N4 Longford bypass.

 

Mary (Mae) Burke (née Harte), Newtownbond, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford / Mullingar,  Co Westmeath

The recent death has occurred on Tuesday, November 22 of Mary (Mae) Burke (nee Harte) Newtownbond, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford/ Mullingar, Co Westmeath, peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Pat, sisters Kathleen (U.S.A.) and Bridget,brothers Johnny, Eamonn and Jimmy and her nephew Martin. She will be sadly missed by her son Michael daughter in law Noeleen, grandaughters Nicola and Michelle, great-grandson Darragh, sister Judy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.

Reposing at her home on Wednesday, November 23 from 1pm until removal on Thursday evening November 24 to St. James's church Clonbroney to arrive at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday morning November 25 at 10.30am, followed by burial in Newtownforbes Old Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

 

Ann Connolly (née Mollaghan), Upper Calary, Kilmacanogue, Wicklow / Drumlish, Co Longford

The recent death occurred on Monday, November 21 of Ann Connolly (nee Mollaghan) of Upper Calary, Kilmacanogue Co Wicklow and formerly of Kilmahon, Drumlish, Co Longford , peacefully at St Vincent's University Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Christopher (Kit), her sisters Mary Jane (Dooris) and Agnes (O'Hara) her brothers Vincent, John and James. Deeply regretted by her sons Frank, John, Seamus, Charles, Noel and Howard and her daughter Ann-Marie, daughters-in-law, partners, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Ann will be reposing at her son Noel's residence in Upper Calary until removal on Wednesday evening November 23 at 5.15pm to St Mochonog's Church, Kilmacanogue arriving at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning, November 24 at 10.30am followed by interment in adjoining cemetery. May she Rest In Peace.

 

 

Terence Cullen (Odie), Dristernan, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim

The recent death has occurred on Sunday, November 20 of Terence Cullen (Odie), Dristernan, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim (formerly Gubberudda, Arigna) peacefully at his home, surrounded by his devoted family and in the tender care of the Palliative Care Team.

Predeceased by his parents Johnny and Mary, brother John and infant sister Elizabeth-Ann. Sadly missed by his loving partner Marian, daughters Lorna and her husband John McPadden, Edel and her partner Mark and by their mother Mary, granddaughters Erin and Maeve, brothers Pat, Eugene and Peter, sisters Mary, Kathleen, Margaret and Attracta, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, his many cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. “ May he rest in peace”.

Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church, Drumshanbo on Wednesday November 23 at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Kilronan Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Palliative Care Team, Sligo. House private please.

 

 

Jim Duignan, Glasnevin, Dublin / Longford

The recent death has occurred on Sunday November 20, 2016 of James (Jim) Duignan , Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Longford, peacefully in the excellent care of the Mater Hospital.

Predeceased by his sisters Mai and Mona and his brother PJ.  Jim will be sadly missed by brothers Jack and Vincent, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Removal on Thursday morning (November 24) to the Church of Our Lady of Dolours, Glasnevin arriving at 9.50 am for 10am Requiem Mass followed by Interment at Glasnevin Cemetery. “May he Rest in Peace”.

 

Michael Halton, Ballinamee, Coole, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath

The recent death has occurred of Michael Halton, Ballinamee, Coole, Castelpollard, Co. Westmeath, suddenly and peacefully.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Camilla, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 23 at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coole with burial afterwards in Whitehall Cemetery.

 

Frances Kelly (née Lyons), Barry's Avenue, Tarmonbarry, Roscommon / Longford Town, Longford

The recent death occurred on Monday November 21 of Frances Kelly (nee Lyons), Barry's Avenue, Tarmonbarry, Co Roscommon and late of Longford Town, peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Frances will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, husband James, daughters Laura and Yvonne (Lynch), sons Chris and James, brother Christy, sister Eileen, sons-in-law Raymond, daughters-in-law Jackie and Niki, grandchildren Chelsea, Kelly,Ryan, Daniel, Luke, Alex, Ruby and Emily, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Patrick (Packie) Reynolds, Corrawallen, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim / Bornacoola, Leitrim / Longford

The recent death has occurred on Sunday November 20, 2016 of Patrick (Packie) Reynolds Corrawallen, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim and formerly from Clooneen, Bornacoola, ex Longford County Council, at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, predeceased by his parents Mary and Thomas and siblings Seamus, John Tom, Michael, Mary and baby Luke.

Deeply regretted by his special friend Patricia Sexton, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
