Jimmy Bracken, Canal View, Longford Town

The recent death occurred on Sunday, October 9 of Jimmy Bracken, Canal View, Longford town and formerly of Killoe.

Predeceased by his wife Mary. Sadly missed by his sons Roy and Conor, his brothers John and Brendan, sister Maura (O'Brien, Longford), grandchild Rhea, daughter in law Noelle, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace .

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road on Monday, October 10 from 5pm until 8pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Tuesday, October 11 to arrive at St. Mel's Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Cullyfad Cemetery. House private please.


Eileen Breen (née Carty), Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, Galway / Loughrea, Galway / Ballinamore, Leitrim

The recent death occurred of Eileen Breen (Nee Carty) Aughawillan, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim, Ahascragh, Ballinasloe & formerly of Kilchreest, Loughrea, Co. Galway on Sunday, October 9. (Predeceased by her much loved husband Denis). Devoted & loving mother will be dearly missed by Mary, Caroline, Theresa, Helen, Denise & Catherine. Deeply mourned by her sisters Mary Kelly (Craughwell, Co Galway), Bridget Mahoney (Kilchreest, Co Galway) & Phil Fahy (Loughrea, Co Galway), sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives & friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing in Kilboys Funeral Home, Loughrea, Co Galway on Monday, October 10 from 2pm with removal at 4pm to St Patrick’s Church, Aughawillan, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, October 11 at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if so desired, to an Alzheimer’s charity of social services.


Sr Angels Curran, Convent of Mercy, St  Joseph's, Longford Town / Spiddal, Galway

The recent death occurred on Saturday, October 8 of Sr Angels Curran, Convent of Mercy, St Joseph's Longford town and formerly of Cnocán Glas, Spiddal, Co.Galway.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary, her sisters Mary, Sr Bernard, Bridget and Áine and by her brothers Timothy and Morgan. Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Sr. Mechtild and Siobhán (Walsh, Spiddal), her brother Bartley (Spiddal), nieces, nephews, Sisters of Mercy in Longford Community, Sisters of Mercy of the Western Province, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.

Mass of the Resurrection on Monday, October 10 in Our Lady's Manor Chapel, Edgeworthstown at 11am. Interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery, Longford. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.


Steven Drochmann, Dublin 2, Dublin / Dromod, Co Leitrim

The recent death occurred on Thursday, October 6 of Steven Drochmann, Dublin 2 & Dromod, Co. Leitrim (Native Australia),  exceptionally peacefully at St. Vincent's Private Hospital in the presence of his lovely wife Linda (O'Neill) and family.

Will be very sadly missed by his lovely wife Linda (O'Neill), his daughter Melanie, his mother Louisa, sister-in-law Louisa, brothers-in-law Matthew and Mark, sister-in-law Audrey, granddaughter, nieces, nephews, relatives Molly, Dexter, Daisy and very many friends. Steven will be very sadly missed. May he Rest In Peace.

Removal on Monday, October 10 from Stafford's Funeral Home, North Strand  to St Mary's Church, Haddington Road arriving for 12.40pm Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Focus Ireland or Cancer Research Ireland.


Amy Sheridan, Wateraughey, Corlismore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan

The recent death occurred on Saturday, October 8 of Amy Sheridan, Wateraughey, Corlismore, Ballinagh Co Cavan following an accident.

Funeral arrangements later. House strictly private please.


Bernadette Spollen (née Wisley), Railway Terrace, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim

The recent death occurred on Sunday, October 9 of Bernadette Spollen (nee Wisley), Railway Tce., Ballinamore, Co Leitrim. Last remaining survivor of the Carrickmakeegan tragedy 1942.

Predeceased by her husband Dermot. She will be sadly missed by her sister Alacoque and brother Brendan, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her residence until Tuesday, October 11at 12 noon. Removal to St. Patrick's Church, Ballinamore, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, October 11. Burial afterwards in Oughteragh Cemetery, Ballinamore.
