Mohill Show takes place on August 21

The 89th Mohill Show is taking place on Sunday August 21 and once again the organisers have lined up a superb event for all the family.  

The schedule outlines the great range of Classes in all exhibit sections – Horses, Ponies, Donkeys, Pedigree and Non Pedigree Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Poultry, Dogs, Cookery, Crafts, Flowers, Farm and Garden Produce, Art, Photography and Junior Classes.

This year, the committee is delighted that Kevin P. Kilrane & Co, Solicitors, Mohill have renewed their generous sponsorship of the two Special Beef Animal Classes for 2016  and Aurivo have kindly sponsored two new Classes in the Non –Pedigree Cattle Section – Non-Pedigree Heifer suitable for breeding and Non-Pedigree Male or Female Weanling.

In the Horse Section the main feature will be the Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders Championship Final which brings the very best in Irish Draught Mares and Foals to Mohill from all over Ireland. This Championship is organised and sponsored by The Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders Association in conjunction with Horse Sport Ireland  and the Irish Shows Association.

Mohill Show will also host qualifiers for the following Championships organised by the Irish Shows Association – The Traditional Sport Horse Foal ( Mountbellew);

The All Ireland Irish Draught Mare & Foal Team (Ballinrobe);

The Greenvale Animal Feeds Beef Heifer (Strokestown);

The Nutrias Beef Bullock (Strokestown);

The Easterlicious Cook of the Year ( Moate); 

The Fleetwood Paints Amateur  Painting Championship(Virginia);

The Irish Native Dog Breed Championship (Eyrecourt);

The All Ireland Gun Dog Championship (Beltra).
