Victor Connell may not be comfortable with being labelled ‘inspirational’, however, his positivity and zest for life is infectious.
When doctors informed him “you’ll never move your arms or legs” following a serious rugby injury in October 2005, he opted to battle back and what he has achieved is remarkable.
Last Monday week, July 11, Victor, in his adapted space drive technology car, passed his driving test in Longford town and two days later, he flew to London, to collect his Bachelor of Science in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University.
It was the first time he had boarded an airplane and travelled abroad since ‘05, although he did travel to Wales on the ferry to watch a rugby international.
