Longford regeneration plans take fresh twist as officer departs
County Longford’s regeneration plans have taken a fresh twist following confirmation that the officer assigned to the project’s overall delivery has stepped down after just seven months in the role.
In a statement issued yesterday (Tuesday), Longford County Council revealed that Clare Bannon had left the position to take up a promotion elsewhere.
Meanwhile, local councillors have reacted angrily to the news that an appeal to have the county included in a tranche of State backed regeneration funding has been rejected.
